Imagine you are
ten years old…

Today you are taken to a
new neighborhood to live with a new family – with parents, brothers and
sisters you have never met.

Now, imagine your only possessions are the clothes
on your back and what has been stuffed into the paper bag you are carrying.

Children in Foster Care in Nebraska face this situation often - sometimes several times a year. It can be frightening for a child of any age. Nebraska Friends of Foster Children helps
children in foster care get through the days ahead with hope.

Apply for a Grant

Individuals under the age of 21 who are currently or have been placed in out-of-home care and are wards of the state or in institutional care are eligible for NFFC grants. All grants must be submitted on a foundation form. These forms are available for download in pdf format, or by writing:

Nebraska Friends of Foster Children
P.O. Box 541034
Omaha, NE 68154

Grants may take six-to-eight weeks for approval. NFFC may be able to respond to emergency requests more quickly. Typically, NFFC makes payments directly to vendors. Reimbursements for money already spent are given only in extraordinary circumstances and a copy of the receipt will be required.

The Foundation does appreciate learning about the children for whom the request is made. Please include information about special situations, needs, and circumstances in a letter accompanying the grant application.

If you have specific questions regarding the application process you may email the grant processor.
